Environment Artist Unreal Engine
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Environment Artist (3D Generalist) to create high-quality 3D environments and assets for real-time applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in hard surface modeling, environment creation, and optimization workflows for Unreal Engine. You will work closely with the design and development teams to bring immersive worlds to life while maintaining performance standards.
Responsibilities
• Create high-quality 3D environment assets and hard surface models. • Develop detailed props, modular environment pieces, and large-scale environments. • Optimize environment assets for real-time performance in Unreal Engine. • Integrate 3D assets into Unreal Engine with proper materials, lighting, and LOD setup. • Ensure efficient UV mapping, texturing, and baking workflows. • Collaborate with level designers and developers to maintain visual consistency. • Maintain file organization and follow pipeline standards. • Troubleshoot technical issues related to asset performance and integration.
Requirements
• Strong portfolio demonstrating hard surface modeling and environment design. • Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Blender / Maya / 3ds Max. • Experience with PBR workflows and texture creation. • Solid understanding of topology, lighting, composition, and scale. • Knowledge of real-time asset optimization techniques. • Basic understanding of Unreal Engine material setup and lighting. • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
