Technical Animator (Rigging Artist – Unreal Pipeline)
We are looking for a skilled Technical Animator / Rigging Artist with strong expertise in creating game-ready rigs for characters, creatures, humanoids, and vehicles. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the Unreal Engine pipeline, real-time constraints, and performance optimization. Animation skills will be considered a strong plus.

Responsibilities
Create high-quality, game-ready rigs for humans, creatures, humanoids, cars, and other vehicles. • Design and implement control rigs, skeletons, and deformation systems. • Develop efficient rigging systems compatible with Unreal Engine. • Ensure rigs are optimized for real-time performance and gameplay requirements. • Integrate rigs into Unreal Engine (Control Rig, Animation Blueprints, State Machines). • Ensure assets meet performance and memory budgets. • Collaborate with animators, modelers, and developers for smooth pipeline workflows. • Troubleshoot and fix rigging and deformation issues. • Maintain clean hierarchy, naming conventions, and export pipelines. • (Plus) Create animations (gameplay, loops, basic interactions) when required.
Requirements
• Strong experience in rigging characters, creatures, humanoids, and vehicles. • Solid understanding of anatomy, deformation, and motion systems. • Proficiency in Autodesk Maya (preferred) for rigging workflows. • Experience with Maya rigging tools (HumanIK, Advanced Skeleton, or similar) is a plus. • Working knowledge of Blender or other 3D tools is a plus. • Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine animation pipeline. • Knowledge of game-ready workflows, export pipelines, and optimization techniques. • Strong understanding of IK/FK systems, constraints, skinning, and weight painting. • (Plus) Experience in character/creature animation. • (Plus) Ability to create basic gameplay animations (locomotion, loops, interactions). • (Plus) Familiarity with Animation Blueprints, Blend Spaces, and State Machines in Unreal. • (Plus) Experience with animation retargeting workflows.
